I shot this portrait of my cat, Spooky, sitting on my bed at home, but removed the background so the cat is the only focus, and can be printed on any color without a distracting background. For prints I added a black background onto the jpg, but for all other products I uploaded it as a png with a transparent background. The cat as a png file can be superimposed easily onto any scene or background. Spooky was adopted from a shelter at the age of 1 1/2 after being found several weeks earlier in a box outside and was transported along with her litter of newborn kittens to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary in Rhode Island.

I am a Writer, iphoneographer and Social Media Creative Artist/Content Curator. I graduated UMASS-Amherst in 1991 with a B.A. in Psychology & Sociology. Past employment includes working as a Mental Health Counselor and Case Manager in Human Services and Adult Corrections.
