A universal truth is expressed in such a beautifully artistic way by a virtuoso artist. Much kudos to you, my lady. If the ancient Greek philosopher Plato could see this, he would be proud of you. If you have read his ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE, You know what I'm referring to. The masses often concern themselves with mind-numbing entertainment, spectator sports, crass materialism, mindless consumption, insipid, inane gossip, and all manner of superficial fluff.
Lisa Pearlman replied:
Thank you for your insightful comment! I love the cave allegory. I have read it in my college days, and the concept always stuck with me and fascinated me. It is like the chained elephants with learned helplessness - the poor things don’t realize when they are free to roam away and use their God-given strength. They stay submissive thinking they are still chained in place and resign to their miserable fate. This saddens me, as an animal rights advocate and an empath/hsp. But thank you again for your comment ! I just saw it. I apologize for my late response
